History of Our Club
Julian Hoggard and D.H. were put in charge of initiating the females interested in the alpha chapter
of the sorority at Elizabeth City State University. Three women, that shall remain anonymous, were intiated into the
sisterhood on September 23, 2004. Soon after these women were initiated another group of women were brought into the
sisterhood on October 26, 2004. These six women are known as "Secret Garden" and are the co-founders of this organization.
Eta Gamma Pi Sorority, Inc. has worked very hard to get where we are now. Within our first three and a half years we have
been established at one university, recognized on another HBCU campus, and have also become incorporated. We strive to perfect
our five cardinal principles which are love, unity, sisterhood, leadership, and gracefulness in our sisterhood and daily lives.
